You have the right ones Ken, to match the manual diagram for the rear
strut/spreader brackets...the BB-128's are bigger than the -3B's

...and your are correct that it doesn't include water rudders..although
considering they make 90* bends the bigger the better. Lots of certified
stuff out there with 1.5 " pulleys though.

I have MS24556-3B 2" pulleys in my float rigging kit. That is what the
shipping list shows as well.

From memory I think 2" is the minimum size for primary flight controls
but I doubt that includes water rudders.

Thanks for the heads up Eric. A few places that this problem has "reared
it's head" including float rigging kits that have been shipped with the
BB-128's instead of the smaller pulleys. PITA when you realize this after
you have made all the brackets for the rear strut and spreader bar.

My Rebel kit 802R came with BB-128 pulleys for the elevator cables at
bullhead "D". I see ACS list them in their catalog. You may also want to
consider making or buying (2) small pulleys to replace the elevator cable
guides in the cabin floor (Fig. 20.11.2) and the rudder cables guides at
bulkhead "A".

I have one of the early rebel kits that did not come with pulleys. Can
someone point me in the right direction as to what type of pulleys to buy
and where to get them. I am starting the tail cone and noticed in the
updated plans there is a pulley at the second last bulkhead station...

Hi Roland & Other Builders,

The pulley(s) you're looking for the Rebel elevator cables is a 2" OD (
MS24566-3B), you can use the BB-128 pulley, 2.5" OD (MS24566-2B) but you
will have to relocate the holes for the guide cable pin and make sure you
have cable clearance over the bulkhead.

This link to Ralmark will give you all the specs of the pulleys used in
MAM's AC kits http://www.ralmark.com/ms24566.html .

Cheers,
Jeff

Thanks Jeff... this is very helpful.

I am about to place an order through Aircraft Spruce. As mentioned I have an
old kit (#56) that did not come with any pulleys. How many pulleys should I
order, and where else (other than the rear bulkhead) should they be used?

Roland
