[rebel-builders] off topic, looking for spam can parts

G'day Mike ....
I have "a friend of a friend" who got a "bargain" on a 152 recently ..... he got it REAL cheap & planned to do it up in stages ....
He thought he'd have some fun first though ... and for the first few months went out & did aerobatics in it & threw it all over the sky
He finally took it to the L.A.M.E. (our version of an "A & P" person) - & said "FIX IT UP "
When he got home - he got a call from the LAME , who said " Whatever you do ... DO NOT do ANY aerobatics in the 152 !!!"
to which the owner replied "why ?!?"
The Engineer said BOTH spars are corroded badly - almost right through ...
When the owner said - "I have just been doing aero's today !"
The engineer said "Go & buy a dozen lottery tickets right away - this IS your luckiest week ever - you should be dead !"
(This doesn't really help you out much I know ... but your request reminded me of that story - sorry

PS : Do you r....e.....a.....l....l....y.... FIT into a 150 ?!?

Any of you Rebelites out there happen to know of a pair of Cessna 150 wings laying around? Took my 150 in for annual last Monday and we found some serious problems in the wings... collapsed leading edge ribs, and splices in the main spar that were not done properly. For what it will cost to rebuild them, thought I'd look around for another pair.
Thanks, Mike
