MAM Website

Bob et al.,

Saw the new website and my first reaction was..."there is not a lot here".

I completely agree that the "Completions" and "Builders" sections need to go back up there. The former in order to prove to interested people that there are many happy Murphy builders in the world who are now flying, and the latter to encourage us all. There is no better marketing scheme in this business that to actually SEE the product, and since Murphy has cut way back on airshows - meeting other builders is a good marketing tool (I think).

In some of the pictures, I think I saw either a mini-Moose or the Radial Rebel. In any case, it looked REALLY good (like the Radial Renegade does) and I think it ought to be highlighted as a cool/different way to assemble the kit. This company has some really unique products that no other can match, and this is one of them.

There are four super company websites that I have seen in the kit businesses:

www.vansaircraft.com
www.zenithair.com
www.rans.com
www.sonexaircraft.com

Murphy's older website, I thought, was coming closer to these. The new, more spartan design is cleaner. However, I don't think people shopping for a kit are looking for clean - they want maximum info. At least, that is what I wanted when I was ready to make some serious decisions.

Wayne is correct, I am not paying for the site so my comments should be taken with the gravity of all the money I have put in to it. I just REALLY like this aircraft company's designs and I get a WHOLE lot of builders coming by the hangar impressed that "this thing is built like a tank". Murphy really fills the "haul a lot, anywhere" niche that so few companies do today. I think they ought to be playing that aspect up.

Best Wishes,
Rich
