Although it didn't take a year for me to get my wings tips (just 6
months after order, 4 months after they were promised) you're not alone
in your experience. You have to keep bugging him, I guess. Making these
parts is not Dave's primary gig, and communication is not his strong
suit. Nevertheless, when the tips finally show up, they're super.

Well, if you indeed have given money to Dave and not just a check that has
gone un cashed you have somehow slipped through the cracks with him. He usually
doesn't even cash the check until he knows he has the time to produce.
If you are indeed ready for them, and I don't mean you're following the
plans that tell you to install the tips when the wings are done, which means
you have the entire fuse to go along with the rest of the installation of engine
and avionics, then let him know that and he will go out of his way to have
them to you before you're ready to rig the ailerons.
On top of that, I'm sure if you asked he'd refund the money.

I ordered mine a couple of years ago and wasn't really
in a big hurry for them so I really can't remember how
long it took but Dave is a super guy from my
experience dealing with him. He has other things going
on and he builds these on his spare time from what I
remember. He'll make it right with you.
