Hi Walter !!

I have to laugh !! You're not alone in drilling through the float
struts to attach a step, and hitting the lines .... Robin & I did
exactly the same thing on my old Rebel, in 1996 !!! We measured
twice, carefully, then drilled - and were suprised by the red fluid
spurting out !!! It was bleeding !!! :-) :-) Duuuuhhhhh !!!
We both slapped our foreheads - and cursed too ! Enjoyed the
same pain replacing the lines too ....

Hopefully someone else will avoid this same mistake !

Hmmm, too bad that couldn't be used to feed through the 2 hydraulic lines
and a brake line throught the front struts of the 1800 amphibs. Still
remember doing that with mine, but it wasn't easy and took a lot of cussing
before finally done. The biggest challenge was getting it around the attach
fittings. Then I still remember, too, when I drilled a hole in my strut to
attach the steps, I forgot about the lines inside, and sure enough, drilled
right into one of the hydraulic lines. So I got some extra practice doing it
all over again, and lots more cussing. Anyway, lots of joys building these
machines, as you all are finding out.

They install fiber optic cable through up to 1 mile of pipe by
simple blowing air through the pipe. I did this with wire through
a 20' PVC pipe once and it workes great. Simply hook up the
compresser to a push button jet and blow the line through! It
doesn't matter if there is already wire in there!
