G'day Ben ...
Sorry to hear about your mum .... please accept our condolences
I lost dad last year and it took me 6 months to sort out my mum :o(
On a lighter note : Our Rebel is ready to "rock 'n' roll" again now ...... and we were supposed to do the test flight THIS morning - but my flying instructor got called into work on short notice :o( :o( :o(
(I haven't flown for 18 months and need to be checked out by an instructor you see)

Subject: Re: [rebel-builders] CRAP!!! Dropped a cleco!
Hi Guys,
I've been out of touch a few weeks due to my mom passing away unexpectedly
end of January. Looking forward to getting back onto some normal things,
especially rebel building.
I'm a little surprised a dropped cleco dents the skin. You sure you didn't
throw it out of frustration with something? :) The thing I had trouble
with was turning the wing over and accidentally letting it down with a
cleco hitting 2x4 spacer blocks on the table -- it pushes the cleco over
sideways and puts a smiley in the skin. I found best to leave such dents,
as trying to dolly them flat just expands the metal making things worse.
Fortunately, just a couple and they'll not show unless I was crazy enf to
go for some dark shiny paint job.
Congratulations Mike Betti for turning all that aluminum into an airplane.
I think you started just a little before me, and I recall you zipping
right past! Picture looks great. All the best on your upcoming flight testing.
