Taxi test - flight testing

Hi Gary,

The FAA testing handbook _is_ a fairly large (797 KB) PDF file, so you
do need the Adobe Reader (or another PDF viewer program) to view it. You
can download the Adobe Reader for free at http://tinyurl.com/6ip. If you
need help getting that installed, contact me direct off list and I'll be
happy to assist. Alternatively, you can also order it hard copy from the
GPO for $9.50, at http://tinyurl.com/yr36cn

In any case, the web page preceding the manual itself is
http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aircraft/ -- if that will help you
somehow.

The handbook looks very worthwhile, IMHO. Covers a lot of stuff,
including test planning, taxi tests, use of ground crew and chase
planes, data recording & compilation, complete suggested activities from
initial flights on through the whole fly off period, how to test for and
calculate all the performance (V) values, etc.
