Doing a few snags after putting 30 hrs on R776.My 0-320 160 hp is really rough for 2 or 3 seconds when starting. The 0-320 150 hp in my friends PA-12 is smooth running as soon as it starts. Are all the 160 hp rough on startup.I have priming lines on only two cylinders, would this cause the engine to be rough on startup.Do all you guys
prime four cylinders.

Engine running rough

Thanks Steve & Bob.Think i have fount the problem. When primer system was installed i was not aware that fittings which go in cylinders should be a special injector type fitting with about a 1/64 hole which sprays primer in cylinder.I just used a standard fitting with 1/8 Pipe thread which fits into cylinder & a 1/8 flare to connect priming line. With this system i am told the gas just pours into the cylinder.A no no if you want your engine to start smoothly. It works but very poor.I am now installing the spray nozzel on all four cylinders.I just did not know the difference. You were right Bob to much fuel.
Hope this helps others.
