filler neck

Bill,
We got marine fillers some years ago with a bead chain to retain the screw in cap. By chance I discovered that the chain attach welded inside the filler neck prevented scewing the cap down to seal. Check yours. We ended up using the flush mounts that Vans supplys for the RV. The necks are riveted on the outside so they could be easily replaced if necessary.
