[rebel-builders] Rebel - Should you move your firewall back 3"? A let

I thought that's what you'd say, Keith !! ;-) :-)

There's no doubt I love the 912 --- but that O-235L2C
118 hp. would work well too - be a bit tight to fit LSA, but
could fit with restricted load. I had a Rebel with an O-235C2C
for about 7 years - would not recommend that engine
particularly.... It was slower than the 912, took longer to
get off the ground, burned more gas, and cost a LOT more
in repairs !! Only 100/108 hp when new - it mostly put
out about 80 hp for me .... I did drag it across Canada,
on Murphy 1500 amphibs - but I wouldn't be here if I
weren't a glider pilot !! I'm sure a 100 hp. 912-S would
run rings around it - over 150 lb. lighter to start with !

Bob,

Sell it after all this work! Are you NUTS!! LOL

After reading everything Daryl and you have writen,
and all the thinking I have been doing lately, I
imagine I will be using the Rotax when it gets to that
point. But I have changed my mind before! :) Plus I
have a couple of cores available..an 0-235L2C and an
0-320D2J. Plus I have that wrecked Rebel with the
Subaru engine. Decisions...decisions.
