I would never claim that Micro$oft makes the best products, but then again,
the server running this list is NT and it has only had 2 woops in its
operation since I left it unattended in October of 98. Besides, I would
never be able to afford building my own airplane if people weren't willing
to pay someone like me descent money to make their "WinBlows" do what they
were told it would when they bought it! ;-) And I'll stand by the
statement that it will do all those things... of course, it'll never be a
Macintosh!
Enough about computers... I just staked out my 30x45 foot garage/shop where
I'll be building my rebel today. I'd like to start digging holes for posts
in the next couple of weeks (I'm building pole barn style), can any of you
engineering types tell me the spacing I'd need if I used 6x6 poles with a
4x6 top cap. Code here in Fairbanks requires a 50lbs snow load and 50mph
wind load. Just sketching it, I planned 6 poles a side, 9 feet apart, but
I'm not sure how to calculate the load requirements. I plan to use
manufactured trusses.
Thanks, Mike

Trying to avoid that, Mike !! I won't run ANY MicroShaft junk if
I can help it .... Hoping to be completely Linux soon ! :-)
You're right, though - the problem is that MicroShaft ships
stuff with the defaults set to HTML, and <anything else> they can think
of to make people with other software think THEY have the problem, so
they'll switch to M$ ! It also doubles the amout of data to transfer,
slowing the web generally, ... again trying to make M$ networks look
better !
