Can't find a hit in the archives either. TNX!
Sure like working on the fuselage ...you work some and see some results ...not like the wings.

Wray,
There were a few kits that went out with incorrect punching in
the side panels behind the doors (not sure of the part #'s). Looks like
you might have one of those - just call Elaine & get replacements ....

Sorry about that - it WAS a long time ago, & we thought they'd
all been replaced.

Fus-24 holes don't match

Hi Wray

I had the same problem on the right side only with the FUS-24. The panels did not match i.e. from tailcone to FUS-24 and the left & right panels were not a mirror image. A I am #328 vs. your #306 it is possible that our panels were made on the same production run & therefore problems.

What I did was to get in touch with the factory. I talked to the factory foreman (Richard?), & he simply asked me to count the number of prepunched holes in each piece. He then made a custom FUS-24 to match the tailcone side skin. The right & left side still don't match but thats OK, no one has noticed yet. He shipped the part almost immediately & now I have a spare side panel. The piece he made for me was a perfect fit to my existing parts. They did a great job to resolve this issue.

That whole area is a little tricky, i.e. the tailcone to the forward cabin. You can put a crease in the floor skin yourself simply over the edge of the workbench. The problem with this whole area is that prior to assembly, you cannot cleco the thing together and make it self supporting. I put some tension on these surfaces by hanging a cleco pail over the edge of the workbench & pulling the pieces down the bench so to speak to stop them from flopping around. That worked OK.
