SR cowl to engine clearance

Happy New Year everyone!

I just finished installing the cowl on my IO-540 Super Rebel. This is then new larger cowl from MAM. I am using Camloc fasteners to attach the cowl to the firewall area. The Camlocs have some play which I didn't allow for and now the front of the cowl is sitting lower than I planned. There is 3/8" between the top of the starter ring and the inside top of the cowl. Will this be enough clearance? How much movement of the engine should I allow for?
