[rebel-builders] RE: High speed prop

Hang on. Are we talking apples and oranges? Carbon fiber versus wood? I
was talking about wooden props. I flew in rain behind two different wooden
props on two different airplanes and didn't have any wear problems with the
props. I don't have any experience with composite props, although I soon
will since I am running an IVO on my Super Rebel.

Curious; is your Prince the carbon fiber P-tip with the leading edge
protection? I ask because that is what I have (not yet installed on my
varieze) and am concerned about rain damage. I found (on helicopters) that
nothing bulletproof has been invented yet to stop rain abrasion.
Building a rebel on amphibs, I too will be prop shopping soon.
