I'll second that. I flew in heavy rains a couple times with my new prince
prop and all the rain did was wash the bugs off. I even had a rough water
take off that was way wetter than I care to repeat.

Maybe you just got a bad prop Alvin. My first flight in the rain was almost
2 hours with several diversions around the really heavy rain. This is when
I was just starting to break the engine in and I didn't take it below
2500rpm. I paid for leading edge protection on my prop but there isn't
anything different on the leading edge that I can see. My old warp drive
had a nice strip of stainless steel to protect it.
