For long term storage of pro-seal (at least 2 years), I know that it should
be
refrigerated. Does anyone know if putting it in a freezer (-18C) would be
even
better?

Hi ProSeal Warriors
When I worked at Boeing , they stored ready mixed ProSeal in a very very
cold
freezer in the parts room. Then you put the tube under hot water until it
was
at room temp. I bought some tubes of two part ProSeal as I have a air gun
used
with these tubes and you can lay down a bead very nicely. The factory tech
rep.said you can store mixed Pro-seal packed in dry ice in a box in the
freezer for a few days. I stored all my proSeal in the freezer for about a
year and it seem to work out fine. The 6 month date on the tubes is more
like
a garrentee of freshness then a life limit as the factory will retest it and
relabel it if its past the 6 month date ( they delayed my shipment to retest
there stock , I wonder how old it really was ). So if it mixes up ok you can
still use it.
You can also thin it with MEK after you mix it ( just once ) to brush it
with a acid brush . I brushed most of my ProSeal layers.

YES !! Most refrigerators have automatic defrost, which thaws things
out.
A freezer is a much better place for storage.

Yes.

Freezer is much better if sealed airtight so that the dry air does not
cause the Proseal and catalyst to dry out itself (same as freezer burn on
meat).
