Doesn't need to be that big Jeffrey. MAM's original installation was nothing
but a quart acetone can with fuel fittings prosealed/riveted to it.
Basically all you need is the difference between the up stroke and the down
stroke on the cylinders (the volume of the piston rods) and less than a 1/2
pint would do. It's really nice to have the spare quart or so though in case
you pop a line and stroke a few into the atomosphere. Reselecting the gear
valve back to where it was will leave you enough oil to put the gear back
where it was before the line blew.

Dear Builders,

I've decided to fabricate an aluminum tank in place of the plastic
reservoir
that came from MAM. (It will allow me to place the tank more conveniently
to the pump.) My question is: has this 1-1/2 quart capacity been adequate
for operations? Would also appreciate your thoughts on a source for
simple
vented cap or plug.

Many thanks ... and Happy Thanksgiving!

The plastic tank is lots big enough. There's a suitable cap with it too.
