Are there any (I)O-540 Super Rebel owners out there? I'm having a devil of
a time finding
the typical length/width/weight/C.G. for the engine.

The type certificate data sheets for the engine will give that
information.
O-540-A1A is E-295. The IO-540-A1A5 is 1E4. Most IA's have that
information in their required library.
If you could be more specific, a specific answer can be found.

I just need ballpark. I need the numbers for a typical Murphy O-540 engine to get a rough
idea where the engine's CG is relative to the wing leading edge and the typical weight. Once
I have the numbers, I can figure how far out to put a Subaru EG33 and Ross reduction to get
the same CG range.
