[rebel-builders] Useable fuel

Hi Charlie !

It's usually about 46 gallons ! ;-)

(The standard tanks actually turn out to hold about 48 - 49 gallons.)

Hello All
I tried to use the search feature but was un-successful. Can anyone tell me
what the useable fuel is for a Rebel with the standard 44 gal. fuel tanks?

[rebel-builders] Useable fuel

Yes..as Bob says...I can get 23 US gallons in each of mine...and I'm pretty
sure I used 47 bringing FOKM home once on a cross country :O). Very little
is un-useable if the outlets are kept tight to the bottom of the tank during
wing construction.

Every airplane is going to be different........SO you need to put 5 gallons
in a wing and drain it back out via the gascolator to see what you get back.
Actual usable will be slightly more in real life as you'll have the fuel
system capacity as well..... if the lines/gascolator were empty on the first
5 gallon test.
