The Murphy Builders Site

Good to hear Jim! The Chapter atmosphere is highly dependent on who is in it. My current chapter is a good example. Some very experienced, and much older (think EAA #s in the low four digits) homebuilders who are now yielding to some much younger although less experienced folks like me. It takes all types to make a successful Chapter but it can be discouraging as you noted.

FWIW, you're fortunate to have 4 chapters to choose from. We have in our area just one and as it happens I'm the President. We're a small group of about a dozen regulars and maybe as many more that you see once in a while spread over a wide area so it's hard to keep the critical mass going. I'm jealous every time I hear about chapters with their own hanger/clubhouse/tools and a
bunch of projects but I guess we do pretty well for a small chapter too. The big thing for me is it is still a great way to get together & trade info.

Nous avons termine la tolerie l an passe mais je termine aussi un Challenger
11 construction amateur qui va voler dans un mois environ. J ai la chance d
avoir avec moi des tech en aviation avec beaucoup d experience et quelques
ingenieurs a la retraite, ce qui nous a permis d ameliorer sensiblement l
Elite tout en restant au meme poid.
