Rebel - Elevator and Rudder Bend Reinforcement

Gents,
I am getting ready to close up the rudder and the right elevator. A friend mentioned that RVs used to have a problem with cracks along the trailing edges of the ribs near the bend in the skin. Has this ever been a problem on a Rebel?
