exhaust conflict

hi all
so apparently if an exhaust tube crosses under an intake tube at approx 90
deg, it does not matter how close it is as long as it does not touch, the
exact quote is as follows :
On your 0-320 B3B with the older style intake/sump you will have close
tolerance with the exhaust and intake tube on the back side cylinder, as
long as the exhaust and intake tubes are not touching when tightened you
will not have any problems, the exhaust and intake cross each other at a 90*
angle so there will not be an issue with heat.
is this correct or should i get the clearance increased between the intake
and exhaust pipes, i suspect that the cylinder will not run properly due to
the fuel/air mix getting to hot, or am i wrong and should not worry about it
any comments
