This is a general question to help me think through a possible scenario.

My Rebel #572 is now about 85-90% complete with a brand new o-320, new
Sensnig prop, steam gage avionics and most of the trimmings. I have the
engine mounted, and wired in and test run.

Fuse, wings and tail are complete. Everything is built except to cover the
ailerons.

I have a possible by of another Rebel which I could be flying righ away.
I just
took a baseball coaching job that takes up a lot of my time. What is mine
worth if I wanted to sell it?
It really hurts but probably not much more than the price of the kit and
the engine. People want to know that you trust your workmanship enough to
fly it yourself. Even finished I think it's worth more with 25hrs, on it
than brand new. Baseball season will be over soon and taking a break lets
you think through the next steps so you can make good progress when you get
back to it. Plus when you fly into the new airport and there's half a dozen
guys drooling on your plane you really want to be able to answer YES when
the inevitable question comes Did you build it?
