Hi Guys: I am just completing running all the hydraulic lines for the
electric and manual pump systems for Moose 226. Amphibious floats to be
added later. I have one pressure gauge which I assume (there's that famous
word again) should go in the gear down side of the system teed into that
line. Is this correct?? Thanks to all who respond and have "been there done
that" Bob J Moose 226

If you tee the gauge off the line from the pump to the selector you'll be
able to read the pressure both gear up and down.

Thanks Drew, but this manual pump has a built in selector valve with neutral
position and must be in the neutral position when operating the electric
pump. Bob J

Hi Bob,

Installed the hydraulic system for my aerocet amphibs. No gauge called for
in the system. Haven't missed having one to date. FWIW

Hi Bob,
I don't have a pressure gage on my system but if I did it would be on the
gear up side. IMHO the gear up is the safest place for the gear to be. If
you have limit switches they will tell you if there is a pressure problem
when the gear won't stay up.

Bob,
Who makes the manual pump? I don't know if it would work with the MAM
floats, but I would like to check it out. Having the selector build in seems
like a big advantage plumbing wise.
Thanks.
Jesse
