Well after hauling Yvan's Rebel from Wayne O's place in Penatang to Hearst
for 11 hrs and 21/2 weeks of minor work, mainly reassembling, we had her
out last night for it's first test flight. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat !!!

This is a 912 on wheels and took off on a grass strip. Was as exciting for
me as the owner, since it was the first time flying on wheels in about 6
years.

Can't report performance numbers as rpm was not functionnal, but despite
this, take off, climb and cruise were all by the book, taking it easy not
to push it.

Landing was interesting, having flown floats for last severall years,
never did master a power off, 3point landing technique. I have no problem
coming in with power and landing on mains, cutting power gradually from
there and easing the tail down.

Anyways, will be experimenting with it as Yvan does his training in coming
months.

LOL, LOL, some people like to work on planes and others like to fly.

By the way it flies great despite my 6 or 7 year absence from wheel flying,
I'm teaching Yvan.

Hope you're having fun at the cottage.

Aurele
P.S. Send you some pics later.

I'm home for one day to pay bills, minor maintenance etc and hope to be back
North in the am. Hope to get things sorted out by midnight and I'll post a
little blurb on the last month at the lake before I head out.
