Just picked this up from the EAA e-hotline. They certainly have my attention.

MURPHY REBEL TO LAUNCH RADIAL OPTION AT OSHKOSH
Murphy Aircraft will unveil a radial-equipped Rebel at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2006. The Radial Rebel features a seven-cylinder 110-hp Rotec 2800 that gives builders the option of that classic radial look, without a performance enhancement over the opposed-cylinder engines. The Radial Rebel, like its predecessors the O-235 and Rotax-powered Rebels, is eligible to be built under as a light sport aircraft, to be flown by those holding a type-endorsed sport pilot certificate. Is anyone aware of any cowling designs using a radial engine that are
different from the standard wrap-around lip ala beavers and the rebel shown
on Rotec's site? I like that style on a bigger plane but not that much on
the rebel. I kind of like it with the engine exposed like the older planes
but I don't know. Then again, that speed cowl is sweet!

Love the look and sound of that radial! Craig
