I'll go do some fishing and think about it all a while !

Hey Wayne While you're fishing figure out how many copies you need to sell
to make it worth while anounce a release date and collect up all the
cheques then send out all of them at once.

I'm sure it would be a great CD but I don't want to know about all the
mistakes I made.

Surely no one on this list would dare do that to you Wayne? This is your
main customer base, so...
I would pay you for it even if it appeared online for free. The other way
to
handle it would be to get advance payment from enough people to make it
worth your while before you release it.

Yah...I thought of that after I typed that...also one reason we may not
bother 'cause I know someone will do just that at our expense.

But look at it this way, what if (when?) someone posts all the
pictures from your float CD to the internet. Forget the security, if
it can be seen on the screen it can be taken.

I've been quite and just reading along as I've just got my plane out of
storage after 1 1/2 years.

27 years ago when I was still in high school, I had bought the wing tip
tanks and cowl for my Cavalier 102.5. A creep then 'borrowed' and made a
set of plugs.
He then reurned the 'new' crap that he pulled off the plugs saying they
were the original. I got burned as did Stan Mcleod the designer.

I happily paid Dale for his work and I'm aware he made little and most
probably nothing.
Great looking parts and I'm sure they cost every penny in machining.

Wayne also fronted me some coin via Paypal when in a tight spot (paypal
is not avail to overseas) helping me get some expensive ebay tickets for
the last home leafs game befor the walkout so he's an 'A' list guy! My
son was in military school in Canada so it was important for our bonding
at the time.....

Shorting Microshaft is one thing however doing it to Mom and Pop and we
all suffer!!
Maybe Mike can ban such persons of ill repute.........

Regards,
Warren

That disturbed me as well but in the case of the tips I believe he said
that he only did it because he had been trying unsuccessfully to
purchase them for a couple of years. He could be planning to withdraw
the offer if Dave starts delivering his again and he could be be giving
Dave a royalty for all I know. It is always nicer to see a competing
rather than a copied product though.

I think the best one can do on a CD is have every page stamped with a
copyright and short notice including who to call to purchase and then
keep the price as reasonable as seems fair. Bootleg copies will be made
but there are still lots of folks with ethics in this hobby who will
purchase. Anyone referencing the disc here had darn well better have
purchased it ;)
