All,
Would anyone be able to scan to a file, the worktable plans/materials list
and email it to me as a file attachment?
MAM has not responded to my email request for same and I need something to
do.
Thank You,
Roger

Worktable
I created a drawing for cutting the sheets of plywood to make the Muphy
table.. I was able to get the 3 sheets ripped on the radial saw at Home Depot
for no charge..(normally a would have been a couple $ for the cuts, but I
guess I got them on a good day!) I then used my Skil saw to cut them to the
right lengths at home..
My drawing can be found at:
http://members.home.net/dqualley/MURPTABL.jpg
http://members.home.net/dqualley/MURPTABL.DWG
Dimensions for the parts in the drawings:
A 7-3/4" x 42-1/2"
B 7-3/4" x 94"
C 7-3/4" x 96"
E 6" x 30"
F 6" x 92-1/2"
G 6" x 39-1/2"
I can't find the original Murphy directions.. So hopefully you can make sense
of my drawing. It's been a couple years since I built the table, but I do
know that this helped me then!

Worktable
Hello Roger,
You should receive the dwawing very soon with other Murphy's papers.
I scan it for you. They are on my web page:
http://www.total.net/~gaetant/elite/table1.gif
http://www.total.net/~gaetant/elite/table2.gif
I cut mine yesterday. I had the store cut all the top frame parts so they
are really straight. Like some people suggest, I will build it in two parts
so I could split it any time.
With the standard drawing, you can arrange the layout to use just 5 sheets
instead of the 6 called by Murphy. I use some more to add legs to allow
split.
Have fun,

Worktable
Roger,
I just finished rebuilding my table after moving to a new house.
I made the table more solid than MAM required. I used 4X4 posts for
the legs and the table top frame out of 2X6's. I made two tables that
can separate after the plane is done. I leveled it using a 2 foot level.
However, after I started building the wings, I found it wasn't as level
as I thought. I had a sag in the middle of both tables. I had to relevel
the entire table and put in floor to table top braces at the 4 foot points.
Perhaps my top was too heavy for the span. An easy way to level
it is to use the main wing spar W-112. It is heavy and long enough to
act as a good level.
