That goes for me too Mike.

Thanks.

Dan I believe the way Mike currently has it set up is so you get a copy
back showing your post was received and then of course because your on
the list you get a second copy. Perhaps he can cut out the confirmation
posting. I've always just purged the first one when it came back.

Can't help you there... the first message is the confirmation that tells you
that your message was sent to X number of members, the second message is
that message that was sent to X number of members. The software knows to
send a confirmation to the sender, but when sending to the entire list it
does not exclude the sender. This is something that has been mentioned to
the company that writes the software by many users, maybe they will fix this
with the new release due out in May.

Unfortunately that is how the software works... the process takes place as
follows.
1. a member sends a message to the list
2. the list server receives the message and checks the "from" address to
make sure the sender has post access
3. the list server then sends a confirmation message to the sender, this is
the one that you receive letting you know that you message has been sent to
X number of members...
4. the list server then starts at the top of the list and sends a copy of
the message to every address in the list... including the original sender
This is not something I can control... this has been mentioned to the
software vender by myself and others who use this software though, and they
are releasing a major upgrade in May, whether this will be changed with the
new release is yet to be told.
