[rebel-builders] (was) 1800 amphibs

Post by Bruce Georgen » Sun Feb 19, 2012 10:47 am

Walter,

I have 1 ramp and 1 beaching area then a buoy for a third plane if needed. After that, they will have to be tied to the dock.

Yeah, that sounds good, too, and will have a chance to see your new place.
Is there room for multiple planes at your dock?

You don't need your passport (although it is recommended), but don't also
forget your birth certificate this time, or you might have to stay in Canuck
land a little longer than you had planned.

BTW, have a new HDV camera (Sony HDR-HC3) that will want to try out with
some air to air stuff, if I can get you to go high enough to include some
mountains and snow in the shots.

Wayne,

Sorry I will not be able to make the trip east this year. I would have
enjoyed meeting you in person. BC, Nimpo and meet Al on the return trip
through Montana is all the time I'm allowed from the War Department
(significant other).

Walter, We could stop at my lake home 0n Priest Lake as we head east to meet
Al in Libby. Or meet Al at Priest Lake which is not far from Libby. You can
get cleaned up, fed and rested for your long journey east. There is moa gas
5 miles down the road at Indian Creak State Park in case somebody needs gas.
I Have several 5 gallon plastic cans there.

Now, if I can only remember where I put my passport. Hmmm!

Okay...just making sure the cottage calendar is marked correctly so I can
have the place cleared out for your arrivals. Make sure everyone brings
some
long lines..couple 50 footers each + your normal dock ropes...I'll have
lots
of rope around as well and we'll be fine.

Yep, as far as I'm concerned. Don't think will make the 18th, as I won't
be
leaving Nimpo until the morning of the 16th. Will meet up with Al P. that
evening or the next day, depending on the weather, and head east.

How about Bob P. and the Ramble? You guys still heading out west? Bruce
G.
and I, and whoever else is along, want to spend the week after Arlington
flying around BC and to Nimpo Lake. There are a lot of great places here
to
visit both on floats and wheels and would be happy to show people around.

Great! Is the "big trip" still going ahead as expected with a July ~18th
arrival date?
