tailcone inspection(rebel)

I did a careful inspection of the tail of FOKM today. FOKM is relatively
recently back on wheels with a new tailwheel so I wanted to check out
the whole rear area for possible cracks etc.
The one thing I did find is that the paint is cracked on the under
surface joints between the last 3 wraps on the bottom. ie 2 joints. The
crack in the paint does not seem to be any more than 1-3 thousandths in
gap and there seems to be no visible damage to any skin. The cracks span
the width of the wraps but as the wrap goes vertical, disappear.
Ordinarily I would think this might be normal but want to get comments
from the group. It seems to me that such cracks could be caused by:
1. Inappropriate rivits - alum instead of SS???
2. Permanent deformation length wise of the wraps??
3. Elongation of the rivit holes resulting from wear??
4. Other.
Since there is a good deal of history behind the tailcone situation, I
am sure there are several comments forthcoming - for which I will be
eternally grateful.
