Gary....if you change them to flush mounts what are you going to grab as you
are falling off the ladder???

Most rebels have raised gas caps. vented flush caps tend to funnel rain
water into the tank. Once your rebel is completed only really tall people
will notice the aesthetics of the flush caps. Flush caps are probably more
aerodynamic but because of the boundry layer maybe not quite as much as you
hope. Raised caps give you something to grab onto when you slip while
fueling your plane.

I agree with all the comments - most Rebels have raised caps, and
this is likely the best way to leave them !!
