MAM making the Rebel an LSA for the USA would also open the prospect of it
flying in the equivalent category here in OZ. Is anybody at MAM listening?

I think they wuz listening a long time ago. The Rebel with 912 meets the LSA
and did when they built FINR in '89. The thing is the logistics of building
and liability of supplying them flying. That you would have to ask MAM
direct...but yes MAM is always listening.

Cheers,
Wayne

I'm not surprised to hear that it meets the LSA with the 912 Wayne and I
think I can understand the hesitation to supply them ready-built. Isn't
there a kit category for LSA in USA? There is here, I'm sure. If that's
the case there would really be no difference in MAM's present market
strategy, just a matter of going through the compliance loops, or am I
missing something major here?

I don't know if you are missing anything Bill. LSA doesn't apply here in
Canada. We've had our own category that LSA was basically copied from for
well over a decade so I really don't follow it in teh US. I was under the
understanding that Murphy was indeed doing the LSA thing with the Rebel, and
it was even stated on their front page when they had all the 912 Rebels
posted up. Fire Stephane off an email, he'll be quick to answer your
concerns I'm sure.

Cheers,

Yes, there is an experimental category for LSA... and unless I'm mistaken, I
don't believe there are any compliance issues for MAM... just for the
builder. I think the Rebel with the 912 would make an excellent LSA.

Hi you'all I'm a new Rebel builder that has been watching this builders site
for several months. I just couldn't keep still when it was reported that no
Rebels were at SNF. I saw one Friday afternoon parked at the home built
camping area. It was on floats, serial number 409. Now that I have said my
piece, I enjoy the numerous comments I've been reading. I'm finishing a
project I bought last spring, SN 307.
