I am at the stage of beefing up the fuselage. On the tail cone were the skins meet the corner wraps I installed four Raw st-# 5 full length and that will stiffen up and prevent oil canning, instead of top hat reinforcement..There is allot of equipment that sits there and it will distribute the weight equally.
The gear box area I was thinking weak points main gear area and float attachment area.On some float planes I was told that the float attachment area compress inward causing the fuselage to V in the middle.I was thinking up grading the belly pan to 032 and inside floor area to 063 Is this over kill???? What do you guys think ?
