Baggage tiedowns

Post by Gary Gustafson » Sun Feb 19, 2012 10:35 am

I looked at the past emails and find little discussion as to
what others have done in installing baggage tiedowns. My
questions are:

1. What sort of brackets have been used for secure tiedown points?

2. Is the best place to install them on the bulkheads aft of the
passenger compartment window?

3. How many bulkheads have tiedowns installed - the first two?

Does anyone have pictures of their installations? It would be nice
To have them posted to the website.

I saw one Rebel with what looked like stainless steel boat loops
on the first two bulkheads after the passenger window with the first
set low to the floor, the second set 1/3 the way up the side and
the third set at the top with another in the center. Each bulkhead
had a similar arrangement so that a small load or a larger load
could be carried. They had like a canvas back cover which could be
strung at either location and tied down. Is this what others find
useful?

What are some other suggestions?
