They don't need to tilt that high to get it moving off the back with a
little physical help. Once you get a roller under it it will go pretty
easy.
Everything is boxed and strapped inside the crate so nothing should get
damaged doing this. Just inspect for fork holes at the shipping facility
BEFORE< proceeding any further. There's a contest for the most freight
busted by a tow truck driver running somewhere....and they all like to
use the forks about a foot up a crate instead of against the bottom
board...and of course they always catch the dock plate going into a
trailer and spear the crate!

One thing I've always meant to suggest to MAM is a 2 x 12 push board on
the long end of every crate....with a 2 x 4 at the top and bottom edges
of the 2 x 12 leaving about a 3.5 inch "slot". This would give these
fork truck drivers a push point that is protected from fork slippage.

Thanks for the help Wayne, Dale and Drew,

I was thinking that it would be too much tilt for the parts instide
the crate, but heck, if it made it across the rocky mountains then I
guess it could handle one last minor incline.

Every town has a towing company with a roll off deck "tow" truck.
Backs up to the shipping facility..they shove the crate on with the
fork truck.....drives to your place you tell him where you want it and
he drops/tilts the bed so it slides off. Have a few pieces of 1.5 to 3
inch ABS pipe ready and put them under as it comes off the truck. Then
roll the crate to final destination by circulating tubes out the back
and back to the front as you go. This method works very well for
having milling machines and lathes delivered too. Just substitute 1"
steel shaft for the rolling material.

Where did you buy yours from? There seems to be a shortage in the

Get a local guy with a roll-back to haul it will be a lot easier to
handle when you get to where you are goin to work on it. If it
