[rebel-builders] Primed Fuel Tanks

Hi Bill,
I would be concerned about the primer for a couple of reasons. If the primer
is under the proseal it can break loose and your tanks will leak. I have had
a problem where I applied the primer too heavy (not in the tank) and it
pealed in sheets, that can clog your fuel screen. I would strip and clean
all the inside surfaces of the tank and reseal using only proseal. I would
not trust primer in a fuel environment.

This is my first time attempting to post a message on this site, so
forgive
my ignorance if I have done so improperly.
I am building a Moose, and am ready to close up my first wing. However, I
am now concerned that I may have been a bit over zealous in my zinc
chromating. I have chromated all the surfaces inside the wing, not simply
mating surfaces. This includes the inside of the tank skins, the ribs
within the tank, etc. Is this a problem? My concern is whether the zinc
chromate will withstand the prolonged contact with the fuel (I have not
chosen my powerplant yet, so I don't know if I will be running avgas or
auto
fuel yet). Any thoughts on what may be a really stupid question are
appreciated.
