m14 mount etc.

For those of you who saw my post, and have an M14 mount still not fitted to
your engine, I have some measurements for you to check.

Find the little tab welded at top center of the ring. This will hold your
cowling center brace eventually.
Measure clockwise and counterclockwise from the center of the 1/4" hole in
this tab, 1".
If the first weld of ring to tube does not have the 1" mark fall in the
center of the tube, you will have trouble getting the right mag on (if at
all).

If you have the new pre-punched floors for your Moose, don't use the
measurements given in the manual for placing the flap handle...it will
colide with the first pre-punched inspection hatch.

The newer flap handle assemblies have the idents "spread" to give more flap
deflection. Hurrah. Unfortunately they are spread so much the flap handle
colides with the top assembly bolt, and you can't lock full flap. Booo. Not
come up with a fix for that one yet!

Friend of mine finished his project....got the following two items:
Sensenich prop spacer SPM6S8
8A electric trim system (good for rudder trim on the Moose)
e-mail me direct if interested and I'll get a price.
Brian
