Hi Ben !

No sweat on the fin offset - DON'T DO IT !!! :-)

If you dig back through the archives, this one's been beaten to
death ! No matter which offset you do, it's only good for ONE
power setting & speed (and rotation !), so - it's better to just
put the fin in the middle & add a trim tab strip to the back of
the rudder, if needed. It's a LOT easier to build with the fin
centered - bolts and fairings are all easier to fit, as is a
dorsal fin - IF you decide you like the looks.

Another solution is just to change the tension on the
rudder pedal springs .... I prefer the tab on the rudder, as
it changes effect with speed, and will work even if the cables
broke.... (Now there's paranoia ! ;-) )

FWIW - you will be flying a lot sooner if you just use the
O-320 ... ;-) Keep rivetting - you'll be there soon !!

But that does bring up another question. I see that setting the tail
offset for direction of prop comes pretty soon in the fuselage
construction. I'm hoping it's fairly easy to hold off on that -- any
problems that you know of? Ya see, my two favorite engine choices are an
0320 or hoping George comes out with that R-263, and they turn opposite
directions.

Lots of conflicting options ! Unless you already have a cowl,
don't worry about it until you do get an engine. :-)
You already know I prefer the 4 door metal cowl, for ease of
access.... ;-)
