Hi Mike
The big AC43 book has a table of wire size needed against current and
distance of run that I've used. Just choose the closest smaller no gauge
(thicker wire) to what the graph shows. You'll need the current required by
the device and the voltage and the length of wire run between the bus and
the load to come up with the correct size wire for your installation.

what are people using for circuit breaker or fuse for their landing lights
and taxi lights, and what wire size are they using, i have found many
examples from others web sites and books ?? sae question for pitot tube if
heated ?
one example is as follows
landing light 15amp cb 16 ga wire
taxi light 15amp cb 16 ga wire
pitot tube 10amp cb 18 ga wire
