Every once in a while I'm just not in the mood... and tonight you just
happened to catch me in one. I try to do everything I can via my web sites
to provide as much information to everyone, and make it as easy to use as
the software allows... but every once in a while someone comes along who
just cannot be made happy.
By now everyone is familiar with the signature Blueraven... well consider
yourselves lucky because I've had at least 30 more messages from Blueraven
than were posted to the list. I tried to answer all of his questions to the
best of my ability, and most importantly to recognize my own bias in Murphy
products, and that those products may not best meet his needs.
Well after the flare up precipitated by some of Blueraven's posts on the
builders list, he decided that he wanted to unsubscribe from the list, and
simply browse the archive site when he had time... understandable for
somebody who doesn't look like a likely Murphy builder, but when he tried to
use the web page, it didn't work for him. Not uncommon, it seems that some
people have problems with this page... I've never been able to figure out
why as it always works for me. This prompted Blueraven to send me an e-mail
explaining his difficulty and asking if I would unsubscribe him from the
list. Sure, no problem... oops wait, problem... I don't know your e-mail
address... you sent this request via your archive site account... and that's
not subscribed to the list. OK, I reply back to the archive site account
and ask... "what is your e-mail address so I can unsubscribe it?". To which
I get no response... but I did get the following follow up message tonight!

address, I'll be glad to unsubscribe you... until then, enjoy all the posts!
Or if you want, send an e-mail to list-server@dcsol.com with "unsubscribe
rebel-builders" on the first line of the message without the quotes. Make
sure you send it from the e-mail account that is subscribed.
Mike
P.S. I hope I didn't offend you Blueraven... but who the hell are you to
get mad at me?
