Subject: [rebel-builders] Component kits

Rich,
I come down on the whole kit side including the engine mount and cowl. Reason is that I have been at this long enough to see GlassAir/Glastar and Skystar (Kitfox), Avid, and others that don't come immediately to mind quit and/or get reorganized with great pain for the builders who had only partials. NOW - before everyone gets their knickers in a twist - I have no reason to believe this might happen to MAM. Please don't start a rumor or ask a zillion questions!

It is just that I would sleep better with all the parts in hand. Good reasons to not buy avionics or engine prior to immediate need but having all the proprietary airframe parts does ease the building process. While money invested might grow there is also the possibility of offseting price increases and the certainty of higher packing / shipping costs.

Disclaimer: I do not get a commission if you buy a complete kit.

My opinion only, yours may vary.
Ralph Baker
