Rich-

I have to give a nod of validity to Ralph's thought process. I spread
the purchase of my Elite out into three purchases over 5 years. I have to
admit once or twice I had the thought, "What if?" The thought of owning
tailfeathers and wings with nothing to attach them to was not appealing!

I agree if finances permit, go the route Bobp has suggested. If you
order the tailfeathers now, getting the shop set up and building them will
probably keep you busy until you are ready to order the rest of the kit. And by
then, you'll be into the swing of things and have a system down for
inventorying, storing, and accessing the pieces you need when you need them. And, of
course, interviewing riveting assistants!

As to engines, mounts, instruments, etc, get those only when you are
close to ready unless a deal is truely "Too good to pass up." Too much changes
too quickly in those areas.

The deeper I get into it, the more I am enjoying it!
(And yes, we all pick smarter the second time!)
