Good plan, Mike ! Put a cover plate over the hole - save weight
and worry !!! :-) The old KISS principle ....

With the high wing, and proper piping, you should get at least
30 ++ gph flow .... PLENTY !!

Mike,
I have a O320 H2AD engine ready for my Elite. It came with no fuel pump as standard. Relied upon gravity feed. Over 3000 172N(M?) had this engine. I dont think too many fell out of the sky because they lacked a fuel pump!!!

Greg. Elite 724 (still building with the ocassional kick up the derriere from Rick Harper as an incentive to keep going)
