Subject: The "Toundra", a nice airplane...
Hello,
Yesterday night, I have assist to a Dream Aircraft "Toundra 200" presentation. Clean, professionnal and well organise. They came at our RAA meeting in Quebec City.
- The Company: The owners also owned/operate a big sheet metal/robotise welding shop. Everything numerised and automated.
They make parts for Bombardier Aeronotics and for other company. They look strong and well organise.
-The Plane: In the familly of Cessna 180, Murphy Yukon, Cyclone, Maule etc... A high wing, 4 places stol aircraft. Solid rivet,
matching holes (all holes) construction. Is it a better airplane than the ones mentionned? I do not know!
I really do not have the knowleage to make the analised
-The support: WOW! You should see the color coded parts, the matching color coded/color printed plan, and the well done
manual. Probably the biggest influence of the "big" sheet metal company "behind" the Toundra. All airplane (18 sales
up to now, 3 flying) have a serial number with all their respective drawing "froze" on a cd. If a change occur in the futur in
one part desing, no problem they still have your desing on hand and can duplicate exactly your parts! Modern
management!
I do not want to promote their product or their way to make business. If like me, you love airplane, if for you (like for me) it is always
interesthing to know developpement, to meet peoples who are passionnated by their "babys", you should understand the reason of that 2 cents worth.....
I am still convinced, that for myself, my Rebel was the better choice!
