Bill,
You need a high tension lead from the top of the shower of sparks unit to
the Left (from pilots view) magneto. Use normal spark plug shielded wire.
Strip the shield from the part that goes into the magneto and the part that
goes into the shower of sparks unit. The gland nut on the magneto metal
cover is where the Shield is terminated. You feed the unshielded part of the
wire through gland nut on the metal cap and then to the phenolic mag cap. .
It goes into the mag cap on the hole that connects with the little tab on
the inside of mag cap. It is usually marked with the Greek letter "PI". The
screw on the inside of the cap needs to be loosened or removed and the wire
inserted. The screw has a point on it so that it pierces the insulation on
the high tension wire and makes electrical contact with the wire core when
you screw it back.
The shower of sparks unit needs to get fed voltage during the time the
start button is depressed only. If you have a Russian unit, then it needs 24
volts. It will not work below about 20 volts. If you have a Bendix unit and
are running it on 12 volts you need to de tune it for 12 volts.

I received my shower of sparks for my M-9 F mag system.There is no diagram
to install it.Does anyone have information on the wiring set up from shower
