I did remember that someone have ask about the rivet to use on torque tube spacer (CC-51 if I remember well). I have double check the manual and they don't say a word about rivething those spacer! If I have to rivet them, I will have to drill the torque tube cap (3/16" ss rivet) to be able to remove the spacer after drilling (for deburring, prime). Should I go this way? ($%!/%/$ manual!)

On the Elite wings, the CC-54 1/2" spacer shown in fig 8.26.1 in section
8.26 is not mentioned in the text. Can you confirm is the CC-54 held in
place with 5606 rivets like the 1" CC-100 sleeve or does it need RV1410
or
1414's ?

There is no load on the spacer so the fastener is not critical.

Use RV-1410 or RV-1414, in fact you could even use an all aluminium pop
rivet

of the correct length.

Jean,
The spacer is there to prevent lateral (inboard/outboard) movement of the
torque tube. It should probably be riveted. If you used one long piece of
sleeve that is already riveted along with the end plug then it's OK. If you
have two seperate pieces, or just one shorter piece that is free sliding on
the torque tube then it should definitely be riveted. I wouldn't remove the
SS rivets though. just drill and rivet in place. you only need to use 1/8"
regular Avex rivets. I only used 4 of them, and I talked to Robin at MAM
about this area specifically. The spacer itself doesn't have any load on it.
If you're worried about corrosion in there, just squirt a little extra
silicone (Crown) when you lube the derlin bushings. It seems to wick between
parts extremely well.
