Rebel elevator cables

I am starting to contemplate starting the fuselage. One mod I want to figure
out before I get started is under-floor elevator cables. I know a lot of you
don't think it's necessary, but I am still interested in at least finding
out how complicated it would be. Here is my current idea: just mount all the
pulleys lower so the cables run under the sub-floor. I would either have to
offset the cables a couple inches left of centerline (which is where they
come off the control column anyway) in order to clear the center
longitudinal members in the floor, or modify the structural layout of the
floor. The first choice would be easier, but the thing I'm not sure about is
if the resulting lateral cable offset between the aft pulleys and the
elevator mixer would be acceptable. I can't find any guidance in AC 43.13.
Is there another document to look at, or maybe someone knows how much offset
between pulleys is OK. After that it would just be a matter of drilling
holes in the bulkheads and adding inspection holes in the sub-floor. Overall
it doesn't seem like a difficult or heavy mod to me, but I'm just at the
head scratching stage. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Jesse
