I have uploaded some pics to the archives showing how I adapted the Rebel
four door cowl to my Super Rebel V8 installation. The metal work is almost
finished. Next is the dreaded fiberglass nose cowl. Arrrggghhh. I also
uploaded a couple of pics of my radiator installation and the radiator
scoop. The lower cowl doors will be attached with anchor nuts so I can
remove them. Then the entire scoop can be dropped straight down in case I
need to get to the radiator. You may notice that I haven't cut the holes in
the lower cowl for the exhaust yet. Also, I have some short exhaust tips
that are not installed while I build the cowl. They make a slight turn and
then have an angled cut that points the exhaust straight down. That is for
the vertical takeoff mode. :-) You should have seen all the stuff that got
knocked off work benches and shelves in my shop when I fired up the engine.
Even stuff that was 20 feet away. That's got to produce a bunch of lift.
Mike
