Hi All

I gather some are adding extra pulleys on the rudder cables where the
direction changes at the rear of the cabin area, and also the elevator cable
between the seats from the link at the top of the torque tube.

The other Elite in the UK has just had it's initial inspection today and the
UK authorities also want pulleys adding on ours at these spots as well.

Can anyone let me know the source and size of pulleys they've used that
satisfy the Canadian MDRA inspectors ?

Any 2" or so pulley you can acquire with the right size groove would be
perfect Nig. Just make a "top hat" style holder....or even a bracket for
each side since the cable goes under and can't jump out of the
groove....especially if you size the brackets just right so the pulley edges
just miss the cabin surface.

For the rudder cable guides at the end of the floor where the angle is, I
welded a small piece of tubing 90* to a small plate (a hole of course where
the tubing is so the cable can run thru it) . The plate was riveted against
the bulkhead at the end of the floor. I used the two piece nylon fair-leads
with a clip inside the tubing. I made up four more pieces of tubing and
welded them (each) parallel to a small plate and riveted them against the
sides in the corners where the cable angle changes. I will have to make up
two more because of the unsupported distance from the cabin end to the most
rear guides. Cable will probably slap with the bounces. Very little
resistance.
